Dad of the litter Ulysse – a Porcelaine from France

Choosing the right sire for our litter was a serious responsibility. We carefully reviewed many candidates, compared pedigrees, achievements, and temperaments, and sought advice from experienced breeders. After much thought, it became clear that Ody, as he is called at home, was the ideal choice.

Although still young and without shelves full of trophies, Ody has already achieved impressive results: he holds the titles of Polish Junior Champion and Polish Champion, along with a working dog certificate.

Ody, or Ulysse de la Vallée du Mascaret is a purebred Frenchman, he was born in France – the homeland of the breed – at one of the most respected kennels. From there, he came to Poland, to Silesia, where he lives at the renowned Hodowla z Garbu Księżej Góry. This kennel has a long tradition of breeding Polish hunting dogs and, in recent years, Porcelaines as well.

Ody is, of course, handsome and well-bred, with a pedigree of the highest quality. But beyond looks and lineage, his stable character and wonderful temperament set him apart. As a puppy, he accompanied his owner to lectures, quietly sleeping at her feet – earning both knowledge and good manners along the way. He has served patiently as a model in a dog taping workshop, and he shines in the hunting field, just as one would expect from a dog of his lineage.

Our confidence in him grew further when we saw his offspring in the Silesian kennel. The older puppies are thriving, both in everyday life and in show rings, while the youngest – just two weeks old – already showed excellent promise.

When we finally met Ody in person, we were captivated. Not only did he win us over, but our Nora was instantly taken with him as well – it truly seemed like love at first sight.
